Career Nursery is an Independent HR firm, connecting contractors with Fortune 1000 companies.

We help independent contractors get enrolled on our partnered third-party platform and guide them through registration steps in order to give them the ability to start servicing clients. We also provide perks in the form of support for professional, academic, and holistic development.

What perks do you offer to independent contractors?

We offer several perks, such as servicing course reimbursements, discounts on home office equipment, scholarship opportunities, professional development freeform training, select academic exam reimbursements, and holistic enrichment resources.

What happens if I have questions or issues while trying to get registered on the third-party platform?

You can reach out to our support team at any time. We are here to assist you with any questions or issues that may arise during your contracting journey.

If the technical issues appear as you are actively servicing, then the third-party platform has their own integrated support team you may reach out to in addition to us.

Are there fees associated with being an independent contractor under Career Nursery ?

We collect a low, flat-rate support fee per invoice period. Contractors receive their payments semi monthly and will not be assessed the support fee until they start accruing revenue and are passed the certification stage.

The support fee is implemented to allow us to continue providing premier assistance and perks that enable our contractors to truly flourish.

Can I work with Career Nursery while pursuing other jobs?

Yes, many of our independent contractors work part-time or full-time elsewhere while servicing customers through Arise. Flexibility is one of the benefits of being an independent contractor.

What locations can I service as an independent contractor with Career Nursery?

As an independent contractor with Career Nursery, you can service customers from various states, including:

How do I become an independent contractor with Career Nursery?

To become an independent contractor, you’ll apply and be contacted by us to meet over Microsoft Teams for an overview of the enrollment process and expectations.

We will guide you through signing up on the third-party platform and assist with course enrollments via email.

If I don't live at one of the supported locations can I still become a contractor?

As of right now, we are unable to provide support for contracting opportunities if an applicant does not physically reside in one of the supported locations.

VPNs, virtual offices, and remote/digital mailboxes will not fulfill this requirement.

What types of services will I be expected to provide as an independent contractor?

Services expected entirely depend on the opportunity you sign up and register for. So you tend to have a large variety to choose from - working in sales within the the luxury goods industry, offering hospitality support for amusement parks, providing on-demand assistance within the fintech industry, and much more!

How do we file our taxes?

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for managing your own taxes. Career Nursery does not withhold any taxes on your behalf. Upon earning $600 or more during the year, you will receive a 1099 form through the email provided on our records.

We recommend consulting with a tax specialist to understand your permissible write-offs and deductions as an independent contractor.

Does Career Nursery provide home office equipment?

We are not able to provide home office equipment outright, as that would conflict with your status as an independent contractor.

However, we have sourced products from credible online retailers such as Amazon, BestBuy, and Temu and listed them on our equipment directory to simplify the process of finding supported tech.
